This hat checked all the boxes for me. Made in America, good quality, medium weight ( good for summer), and has the No fly Zone treatment. Added bonus of the 1901 Maine flag patch which I wanted because of the realistic tree design of this one. Already been using it on late summer hikes. The hat is a good product. It's too early to assess its effectiveness at deterring bugs. But, the company's service is exceptional. Our first shipment contained a damaged hat. I emailed. The response came within a day and shortly after that a replacement hat was received.

My husband has many... baseball/golf hats. Since Christmas 2023 he basically wears this one daily. It's winter in Maine so we're not sure about the insect repellent factor.
